27 Years
Richmond Community Services, a leader in providing family-like support for children and adults with significant intellectual and physical disabilities, proudly announces Funfest 2010.
Richmond has always believed in the potential of people with different abilities. That’s why we decided to designate a special day to celebrate that potential. While many people with disabilities honor their potential through the Special Olympics, the people at Richmond Community Services, their disabilities being so severe and significant, unfortunately precluded their participation. So Funfest was born.
It’s a time when families, friends and individuals with differing abilities celebrate life with fun, food and activities. It’s also a day when we reach out to our neighboring communities and invite them to make a difference by joining us in recognizing the potential of every individual.
This year, Funfest is Sunday, June 6th and
we are inviting you to join us.
Many of our residents will not have family members present to share this wonderful event. With your contribution you can make Funfest an engaging and meaningful day for all!

"Buddy for the Day"- Be someone’s “Buddy for the Day” and provide the wonderful gift of friendship and companionship to an individual who does not have family to attend this fun-filled carnival.
