Our staff has the depth and breadth needed to ensure that we are providing the best quality supports. Our team includes physicians, nurses, speech, occupational and physical therapists, registered dieticians, psychologists, neurologists and podiatrists, Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP's), Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), and others; all of whom are experts in their respective fields, as well as working with people with disabilities. Our focus is on enhancing the quality of life through mind and body wellness.
Richmond Community Services is known for our accomplishments with individuals who have the most significant disabilities, along with complex medical conditions. The majority of the people we support use wheelchairs and cannot speak. Our staff includes many specialists, such as those with expertise in non-traditional communication and the use of assistive technology devices, that enables a non-verbal person to communicate. We continually advance our team’s skills by providing specialized training, as necessary, to ensure that we provide state-of-the-art support for those who are unable to perform tasks most of us take for granted, such as shifting positions, eating or even breathing.
