Richmond Community Services has over forty years experience in providing services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
Often times, individuals leave their homes in order to live in places that provide approved accessibility. The Richmond Community Services Environmental Modification Program can help individuals stay in their home by providing consultations on how their home can be made more accessible.
Past projects have included ramps, new bathrooms, kitchen adaptations, wider doorways, automatic door openers, chair or bed lifts, and even the conversion of entire rooms or additions.
Richmond Community Services is the main provider of Environmental Modification services for the Hudson Valley Developmental Disabilities Regional Office. Richmond can visit your home and provide you with information that will help determine what can be done to improve your homes accessibility, provide information with current day assistive technology, and act as your project manager to insure that these modifications are done properly.
Richmond is dedicated to reducing dependence to promote greater independence. When barriers disappear, new opportunities appear.
